SHERIFF JOHN SPEARS REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ONGOING ACTIVITIES FOR THE YEAR AND NARRATIVE EXCERPTS FROM THE WEEK ENDING March 20, 2017.

3/14                      Gerald Wilson, Hillsboro, was traveling on County Road V, in the Town of Union and tried to go around a snowplow that was stopped in his lane of traffic.  The snowplow began to back up and Wilson hit the blade.  He suffered no apparent injury and his vehicle only sustained minor damage.

3/17                      Kay Bluske, Chaseburg, was traveling on US Highway 14, in the Town of Coon, when she slid on ice, and hit vehicles driven by Dawn Ford, Viroqua, and Michelle Theige, Westby, before hitting a guardrail.  None of the drivers suffered apparent injuries, and no vehicles were towed.
