Union Center crash
A Village of Union Center snow plow blade struck a vehicle Wednesday morning. The deputy said about 8am the operator of the snow plow, 63-year old Robert Brand of Elroy, was plowing east on Mill Street. As he attempted a right turn onto High Street, the plow blade struck a car traveling north. The driver of the 1999 Volkswagen Jetta, 38-year old Brian Melvin, received minor injuries. The dump truck driver, Brand, was uninjured. He was cited for failure to yield right-of-way and operating motor vehicle without proof of insurance. Brand’s fines totaled $193.30.
