U.S. Senator Ron Johnson, called the WRJC Studios on Tuesday morning to talk about several topics: why a veteran’s bill wasn’t passed in the Senate and Ukraine. With the Veteran Affairs Bill, Senator Johnson said the reason the bill did not move forward was of a procedural vote called the budget call to order. Johnson said Republicans are open to reforms to the veterans’ administration, so that government can better respond to the needs of veterans and do it within the budget limits. Regarding Ukraine, Johnson says that the United States needs to have a plan against Vladimir Putin to put more pressure on him if Russian officials continue their expansion policies. Johnson says there are roadblocks moving forward with creating such a policy, but he thinks it is necessary to try to find a plan.
