On Wednesday morning, around 7:25am, a teenage girl was stopped at the intersection of County Road Y east and US highway 14. She was attempting to turn southbound on Highway 14, and did not see the northbound vehicle being driven by Dustin J. Myhre, age 24, of Westby. Myhre was unable to avoid hitting her. The teenage girl was taken to Vernon Memorial Hospital for medical treatment by private vehicle, and Dustin Myhre was treated for minor injuries and released at the scene by Tri-State Ambulance. Assisting the Sheriff’s Office was the Viroqua Fire Department and Tri-State Ambulance. The acident remains under investigation by the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office.
