Two Vehicle Accident in Vernon County Sends Two to the Hospital
A two vehicle accident sends two people to the hospital. Sheriff John Spears reports the accident occurred on the night of November 13th 2013 at approximately 7:38p.m. The accident occurred on State Highway 35 just south of the Village of Genoa. The northbound vehicle driven by Rafael Puix Choc, age 31, of Arcadia went off of the right shoulder driving down the ditch line. The vehicle then came back on the road and crossed the centerline and struck the southbound vehicle driven by Larry L. Bolster, age 72, of DeSoto. Puix Choc was transported by Tri-State Ambulance to Mayo in Lacrosse with unknown head and leg injuries and Bolster was transported to Gundersen Health System complaining of chest pain. Both parties appeared to be wearing their seatbelts. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the accident. Assisting the Sheriff’s Office was the Genoa-Harmony First Responders, Genoa-Harmony Fire Department, Tri-State Ambulance Service and the Wisconsin State Patrol. The accident remains under investigation by the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office and Wisconsin State Patrol.
