Two men charged in heroin bust
A Mauston man has been charged with four counts of ‘being a party to the delivery of heroin’ and one count of ‘possession of heroin with intent to deliver’. According to the criminal complaint, on four separate occasions during the month of May 2012, 25-year-old Seth Beranek allegedly sold heroin to a confidential informant at different locations in the City of Mauston. Beranek was arrested on May 31st, 2012 along with a Lyndon Station man, 36-year-old Jason Turner, at Lions Park in Mauston. Turner has been charged with ‘being a party to the delivery of heroin’, ‘possession with intent to deliver heroin’, and ‘maintaining a drug trafficking place’. During a court hearing on June 1st, 2012, Turner’s bail was set at a $35,000 cash bond. Beranek’s bail was set at a $50,000 cash bond and they are to have no contact with each other.
