Two Mauston individuals were arrested over the weekend as a result of a fight.  Police said Sunday morning about 12:30am officers were dispatched to the 100-block of Maine Street in the City of Mauston.  Following an investigation, 28-year old Samantha Millard was arrested for starting a fight with her live-in boyfriend.  The officers believed Millard was the primary aggressor.  Her boyfriend had just arrived home from working in Elroy when the incident occurred.  While 39-year old James Stafford of Mauston was arrested for coming to Millard’s aid and calls for help.  Stafford allegedly hit her boyfriend with a baseball bat breaking his left wrist/forearm area.  Millard was tentatively charged with disorderly conduct, battery, and bail jumping.  Stafford was tentatively charged with substantial battery and placed on a probation hold.  A 3rd individual who witnessed the incident, 23-year old Shawn Zielke of Mauston, was cited for possession of THC and fined $303.00
