Two area women are facing drug charges after being pulled over on May 19th.  A State Trooper noticed a vehicle passing his location near exit 69 on Highway 82 in Mauston.  The Trooper did a registration check and noticed both registered owners licenses were suspended.  The trooper approached the vehicle and noticed both the passenger and driver shaking and having slurred speech.  The driver was identified as 36 year old Chandra Smith of Black River Falls and the passenger was identified as 35 year old Amanda Coleman of Mauston.  While the Trooper went through registration the Mauston K-9 unit came out to do a free air sniff.  The K-9 alerted authorities to the presence of drugs.  A search of the vehicle turned up a zip lock bag containing a clear crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine, THC, a smoking pipe, and a weighing scale.  Coleman is facing charges of Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, Possession of THC, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Smith is being charged with Possession of THC and Operate without Valid License.
