Two Adams High School students cited for truancy
Two Adams High School students have been cited for truancy. Police said an officer saw the two boys walking in the City of Adams Wednesday morning when they were supposed to be in school. The officer transported the 17-year old and 15-year old Arkdale juveniles to the high school. Each boy was fined $389.50. Judy Roller and David Barton were each cited for ‘parental responsibility for juvenile misconduct’ and also fined $389.50 each. A third individual, 18-year old Martin Chavez, was also walking with the two juveniles. He is on probation and attends a charter school. The officer told Chavez he would be sending a copy of the police report to his probation officer for ‘contributing to truancy’.
