Truck driver accused of misusing fuel card
A Janesville man has been charged in Adams County with theft in a business setting. The deputy said 42-year old Brian Kess was employed as an over-the-road truck driver for Bula-Gieringer Farms in Adams County for one week in October 2012. Kess allegedly kept Bula-Gieringer’s Fleet One fuel card and was then employed by Wagner Trucking in Wautoma. While employed by Wagner Trucking between December 2013 and February 2013, Kess allegedly used the Fleet One fuel card to make unauthorized fuel purchases totaling almost $8000. Kress then allegedly pocketed the money credited to him through Wagner Trucking. During a court hearing last month, bail was set at a $7500 Signature Bond. Wautoma Police is investigating the alleged theft from Wagner Trucking.
