Mauston elementary students will again be given reflective bags and glow sticks for ‘Trick or Treat’ this year.  Mauston Police Chief Mark Messer said, “the Mauston Professional Police Association and PD together donated $290 for the glow sticks.  Sal and his wife, owners of Sal’s Truck and Auto Repair of Mauston, donated $650 for the reflective bags.”  President of the Mauston police union, Officer Mike Zilisch said, “during the week of Halloween officers go into the Mauston and Lyndon Station elementary schools and St. Pat’s and give safety talks.  We remind students to be good walkers and don’t cut across people’s yards and don’t wear costumes that block their vision or would cause them to trip.”  Chief Messer thanks the sponsors for their continued support of this safety program.  The City of Mauston Halloween hours will be Wednesday, October 31st, 2012, from 4pm until 7pm.
