Town of Rome bar fight
A Madison man has been charged in Adams County with substantial battery. The deputy said in October 2012 34-year old Joseph Johnson was involved in a fight at Lake Sherwood Lodge in the Town of Rome. It started in the bar and then escalated into the parking lot where Johnson allegedly broke a beer bottle over the head of another bar patron. The victim was transported to a Wisconsin Rapids hospital where the laceration required 10-stitches. During a court hearing, bail was set at a $2000 signature bond. Johnson is to have no contact with the victim. His initial court appearance is scheduled for December 10th, 2012.
