A Tomah man was found dead Friday morning as a result of injuries received in a one vehicle crash Thursday afternoon.  Tomah police Lieutenant Mark Nicholson said, “about 4pm Thursday afternoon 31-year old Harley Leach was traveling south on Superior Avenue when his eye glasses fell off.  Leach’s vehicle traveled into the median near Flint Avenue, crossed the railroad tracks, and struck a tree.  Leach did not have any visible injuries that appeared life threatening but did complain of chest pain resulting from the crash.  Leach was medically transported to Tomah Memorial Hospital by ambulance.  The vehicle sustained severe front end and undercarriage damage.  On Friday morning, December 7th, 2012, Tomah police responded to an apartment for an unresponsive man, later identified as Leach.  Leach was deceased but a cause of death was not immediately known.  A subsequent autopsy determined that Leach died as a result of internal injuries sustained in the crash.”
