TMH meets national standards
contributed….Tomah Memorial Hospital continues to meet national standards for health care quality and safety. The hospital has received The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for accreditation for the twenty-seventh consecutive year. Hospital Quality and Compliance Director Shelly Egstad, says even though the process is voluntary, it is a rigorous procedure involving hundreds of standards to ensure a culture of excellence twenty-four hours a day….seven days a week. The Joint Commission conducted an unannounced, on-site evaluation of Tomah Memorial earlier this year. The Commission evaluates and accredits more than nineteen-thousand health care organizations and programs in the United States, including more than ten-thousand hospitals.
