The Tomah Memorial Hospital Foundation has pledged $275,000 over the next five years to help construct a new hospital on Tomah’s south side. Foundation board president Pete Reichardt said the pledge marks a significant endorsement of the building project. Reichardt said the donation will be earmarked for planned wellness rooms at the new hospital as well as a walking trail that will encompass the medical campus.
The foundation announced the pledge following its annual golf outing at Hiawatha Golf Club in Tomah last week. Hospital officials say groundbreaking on the estimated 140,000 square foot, three-story hospital and medical office building is scheduled next month on a 40-acre site adjacent to Interstate 90 along Gopher Avenue. The project is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2019.
