(Undated)  —  Traffic is back to normal on Interstate 90/94 near Wisconsin Dells after a backup of three miles on Wednesday. The state DOT says the backups started about 4:30 pm in the westbound lanes on one of the busiest travel days of the year. The state AAA expects more than one million Wisconsinites to travel at least 50 miles one way during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Officials say a strong economy has more people on the road this Thanksgiving than last, but gas prices throughout the state are much higher than a year ago. The AAA says the average price for regular unleaded is $2.52 a gallon Thursday, same as the national average but 50 cents higher than last Thanksgiving.
