Teenager helped by ‘Good Samaritan’
A teenager was helped by a passerby in Monroe County Thursday night. Sheriff Pete Quirin said, “about 7pm Monroe County dispatch received a 9-1-1 call reporting a vehicle in a field east of Tomah and a man carrying a female from the vehicle. The driver of the 2008 Chevrolet Impala, 17-year old Miranda Bennett, was traveling south on Formica Road when she lost control. The car skidded off the road, struck a tree stump, and continued into a field. Bennett, who had non-life threatening injuries, was assisted out-of the car by a passerby. She was later transported by Tomah Ambulance to Tomah Memorial Hospital. Speed is believed to be a factor in the accident.”
