The Necedah School District was awarded a $2,500 technology grant during the monthly school board meeting Monday night.  A TDS Telecommunications Corporation representative presented the grant from the Foundation for Rural Education and Development. TDS also presented the district with a Kindle Fire.  “The Necedah Area School District was one of 10-schools nationwide to receive the technology grant this year,” according to TDS Associate Manager Cindy Tomlinson.  “The district will use the funds to support its Mobile Computing Initiative.  The grant will be used to purchase 65 fourth generation iPOD Touches for the first grade classroom, thereby creating equity for learning across the grade level in the year.”
