Spilt coffee results in crash
A Grand Marsh man was cited as a result of a two-vehicle accident in the City of Adams last Friday afternoon. Police said about 12:30pm 40-year old James M. Hunter was traveling south on S. Main Street when he spilled his coffee and looked down. A passenger yelled ‘look out’, and as Hunter looked up the 2006 Chevy Cobalt he was driving struck the rear of a 2010 Jeep. The driver of the Jeep, 56-year old Paula McEvilla of Adams, had slowed to make a left turn onto W.May Street. McEvilla received minor injuries. A 9-year old boy was moderately injured and medically transported. Hunter also received injuries and was medically transported. A passenger, 77-year old James L. Hunter, was also injured. The driver was cited for ‘inattentive driving’.
