Snowy conditions
A two-vehicle accident occurred north of Mauston Tuesday afternoon. The deputy said an unknown driver was hauling a large farm disc implement with fold up wings north on Highway 58 near Horkan Road. A New Lisbon man, 20-year old Cameron Wiese, was traveling south. As he approached, the vehicle and farm implement crossed the center line causing Wiese to swerve to avoid a collision. Wiese lost control of his 1997 Chevy Blazer. The SUV struck a north bound pickup behind the farm implement being driven by a Necedah man, 63-year old Harold Mathe. Wiese’ Blazer continued spinning and entered the ditch. No one was injured. Neither driver could identify a specific vehicle towing the farm disc.
