Sexual assault charges dismissed
Sexual assault of a child charges have been dismissed against a New Lisbon man. 36-year old Jesse day was in court with his attorney Thursday afternoon for a plea hearing. Juneau County Assistant District Attorney Jake Westman said there was no resolution and asked the court to dismiss the case without prejudice with the possibility of re-filing charges in the future. The D.A.’s office is still committed to seeking justice and is working with law enforcement to bring a case to jury that we can win.” Day’s defense attorney told the court that his client’s reputation is at issue with being accused of these felonies. Judge John Roemer dismissed the case without prejudice.
