A registered sex offender will be released from state custody later this month and will be living in the area south of Tomah.  Monroe County Sheriff Pete Quirin said, “43-year old Brian Kuruzovich, a resident of Monroe County, will be released on or about October 18th, 2013 and will be on a supervised program living in the area of Grayling Avenue south of the Tomah City Limits.  Kuruzovich was convicted in July 1998 of sexual assault of a child and was civilly committed as a sexually violent person under Chapter 980 Sexually Violent Persons law.  In June 2013 the Courts determined it is now appropriate for his supervised release.  Kuruzovich will be placed on the Electronic Monitoring Program and also on GPS.  On Wednesday, October 16th, 2013, a Community Notification meeting will be held at the Tomah Police Department from 7pm to 8pm to discuss Kuruzovich’s release.  There will be a presentation which will include representatives from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, Tomah PD, Wisconsin Department of Corrections, Wisconsin Department of Health Services, and the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry Program.”
