Sen. Schultz to Make Stops in Richland and Juneau Counties
State Senator Dale Schultz will make several stops in Richland and Juneau County communities on Monday, May 19. Accompanying Schultz for the full day of in-district stops will be Mustafa Yikilmaz, of Ankara, Turkey. Yikilmaz is a researcher in the office of a member of the Turkish Parliament, plans to run for office himself, and is job shadowing Schultz as part of his Professional Fellows experience in Wisconsin. Schultz will be in Richland Center from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Then, in Camp Douglas, from 11:40 to 12:50 p.m., Schultz will review Wisconsin National Guard operations at Volk Field and Camp Williams. In Mauston, community members are welcome to join Schultz and Yikilmaz at Culvers Restaurant, where they will be having lunch from 1:15 to 2:00 p.m. Nathan Thiel, Mauston City Administrator, will join them for lunch. Also in Mauston, from 2:10 to 2:55, Schultz and Yikilmaz will meet with Juneau County Sheriff Brent Oleson at the Juneau County Justice Center, 200 Oak Street. A final stop in Mauston will be at Sand Ridge Secure Treatment Facility for a meeting of the Community Advisory Board starting at 3:00. In Nekoosa, from 5:15 to 6:15, Schultz and Yikilmaz will conclude their day at Central Sands Dairy, where manager Adam Onan will provide a tour.
