A semi driver received minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident. Vernon County Sheriff John Spears reports that on Thursday, May 10th around 11:40 a.m., a semi operated by 52-year-old Stuart Nelson of rural Cashton, was coming down the hill on County Road B approaching U.S. Highway 14 in the Town of Coon, when he lost the breaks of the semi. The semi was unable to stop and overturned as the driver tried turning left onto Highway 14. The semi spilled part of its load of corn into the ditch.
