“Two Necedah School District residents had submitted their letters of interest in filling an open school board position,” said Necedah School Superintendent Larry Gierach.  The Board had accepted the letter of resignation from member Steve Gillespie at its December meeting and Monday night during the Regular Board Meeting, the Board interviewed the two candidates, Brian Seebruck and Scott Darnell, in Open Session.  “The Board reported out of Closed Session Monday night that it had chosen Seebruck to fill the three month vacancy until the Spring Election,” said Gierach.  “Seebruck has also declared his candidacy for the regular position.”  The Board also reported out of Closed Session that it had approved  2-year renewal contracts for both Gierach and Wendy Horbinski.  Any salary increases for the two administrators were not discussed Monday night.  Earlier during the meeting, the Board had accepted the resignation of long-time assistant baseball coach, Pete Lowery, and had hired a part-time Family Consumer Science Teacher.
