The Adams County Sheriff’s Office adds a second K-9 Unit.  Sheriff Sam Wollin says, “Deputy Josh Czys has been selected to be the second K-9 handler for the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.  Prospective candidates appeared before a selection board where they were interviewed and were also required to give a mock K-9 presentation.  Deputy Czys came out at the top of the competition, and will start his new duties in early November when he travels to Vohne Liche Kennels in Indiana to select and train with the dog for 6-weeks.  This will allow the Adams County Sheriff’s Office to have two dogs on opposite rotations, resulting in a K-9 working daily.  The K-9 Unit is funded through private donations from the community.  Your continued support is essential for the success of the program.  Donations can be delivered or mailed to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.”
