“The proposed sand mine in the Town of Orange is progressing,” said Juneau County Land and Water Conservationist Greg Lowe when asked by a Supervisor during the County Board meeting Tuesday morning.  Lowe had given his annual report.  The mining company has not received DNR permits, but Lowe could see nothing that would slow the process.  “The company has met all the requirements of Town of Orange ordinances,” he said, “a railroad spur is to be built this spring with a plant to clean the sand this summer.”
