The Mauston School District is facing roofing concerns on two of its elementary schools. On Monday night, December 2, the Mauston School Board held a workshop with Bray & Associates to review the information it had done regarding all of the school facilities, excluding the high school. As far as mechanical and infrastructures in the school, there is nothing that needs immediate attention. However, Westside and Grayside Elementary schools are overdue for new roofs. Carrie Buss, School Board Vice President, said that this is a large expenditure that cannot be addressed in the current school funding. She says it’s an issue that will need to be addressed in the very near future. The Mauston School Board will be holding another workshop on the first Monday in January to continue discussion on these concerns. It is open meeting and the community is welcomed to attend.
