Sunday, June 3rd, 2012, is State Park Open House Day.  Admission is free to all state parks and forests.  Celebrate at Roche-A-Cri State Park in Adams County and hike to a spectacular overlook.  The stairway to the top of the mound was closed for much of 2011 and recently reopened.  A Grand Reopening will be held at 11am Sunday morning, June 3rd, 2012, at Roche-A-Cri State Park just north of Friendship.  Free cake and coffee will be provided.  The Friends of the Park will be selling brats and hot dogs from 10am until 3pm.  Visitors can meet at the stairway kiosk and shelter.  The dedication ceremony for the stairway will begin at 11am.  State Park admission stickers are not required Sunday.
