The Reedsburg Police Department is hosting its second annual Shop with a Cop. Shop with a Cop is a program that strives to promote a positive interaction between police, emergency services, and the community. The goal is to give children an opportunity to buy gifts for their families and to buy a gift for themselves. A police officer, EMT or firefighter will accompany a child to Shopko Hometown where the child
will have $100.00 to spend.

Members of the Reedsburg Police Department will take a group of area second grade students shopping for Christmas gifts on Saturday December 9, 2017 between 10:00am-1:00pm. The members of the Reedsburg Police Department work with the Reedsburg School District to choose a group of 20 children to participate in the program—a group of children who are hard working at school and come from a family facing financial challenges.

Success of this year’s Shop with a Cop program will rely on donations from the community. If you would like to contribute to the Shop with a Cop program, donations can be mailed to the Reedsburg Police Department, 200 South Park Street Reedsburg, Wisconsin 53959—attention: Officer Peggy Porter or in person. Please make checks payable to the Reedsburg Professional Police Association or RPPA. If you have any questions or you would like more information, please contact Officer Peggy Porter at the Reedsburg Police Department, 608 524-2376
