County Recycling by Area Municipalities, or C.R.A.M., a recycling consortium in Juneau County is sponsoring a recycling contest with $25 cash prizes going to eight eligible entrants. “Although the consortium is made up of ten townships; Clearfield, Lisbon, Orange, Fountain, Lemonweir, Plymouth, Germantown, Cutler, Marion, and Lindina, the contest is open to any resident of Juneau County,” said contest coordinator Sharon Halverson, “returned entries with 80-percent correct answers are eligible for the drawings.” The recycling contest will run from October 17th to October 27th, 2012. Recycling Contest Completed forms must be returned to C.R.A.M., in care of/ Sharon Halverson, W8429 Highway ‘C’, New Lisbon, WI 53950 by October 27th, 2012. Residents in the ten township consortium can bring clean recyclables to the recycling bins at the Juneau County Landfill. No fee is charged for clean glass, cardboard, paper and newspaper, magazines, plastic milk, soda and soap bottles, and clean tin cans. All can be co-mingles in the same bag. Used motor oil in plastic jugs, rechargeable batteries, anti-freeze, metal, aluminum roofing, and compost materials are also accepted at no cost. But refrigerators, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, computer monitors, and tv’s, capacitors, tires, and fluorescent bulbs are accepted at the landfill for a small fee.
