Record Setting Day for Blood Drive
Mile Bluff Medical Center set a record for their one day blood drive on Monday. Director of Public Relations Kathy Behnke said a typical one-day drive brings in 42 donors, and about 37 units of blood and a typical two-day drive brings in about 70 donors and 62 units of blood. On Monday, they got close to two-day totals with 63 donors who collectively gave 58 whole blood units, 1 unit of platelets and two double-red units. Behnke thanks everyone who was able to give and that their generosity will go a long way towards helping others.
