A Mauston man was placed on a probation hold Tuesday night.  Police said an officer responded to a domestic disturbance at an apartment in the 500-block of Tremont Street in the City of Mauston.  Following an investigation, 48-year old William Emmitt, was taken into custody, transported to the Juneau County Jail, and tentatively charged with disorderly conduct.  At the jail, a preliminary breath test showed .25.  Emmitt was taken to the ER for medical clearance before being booked into jail.
