contributed…..New Lisbon Correctional Institution presented a hand crafted stowaway bench September 19 to support the Women’s Night Out fundraising event conducted September 27 in Mauston.  Mile Bluff Clinic Foundation’s Director, Martha Airth-Kindree, stated the bench was included in items placed up for auction at the event with proceeds going to benefit the Foundation’s activities.  The bench was made from donated pine and was embellished with hand etched drawings on each side.  The seat is hinged to allow for storage underneath.  The Foundation used the bench as an auction item at its fifth annual event with proceeds going to the Juneau County Women’s Health Initiative.  “We are so pleased with the support we’ve received for this event from so many local businesses, including New Lisbon Correctional Institution,” Airth-Kindree said.  “This event has gained so much momentum and so many people look forward to attending each year, we are grateful to have these terrific items for event goers to bid on; it’s truly a win-win for the winners and for the Foundation.”
