President Barack Obama carried Juneau County Tuesday with 53-percent of the vote.  Obama/Biden received 62-hundred 37 votes and the Romney/Ryan ticket received 54-hundred votes.  In the U.S. Senate race, Elroy native Tommy Thompson carried Juneau County with 50-percent of the vote, while Tammy Baldwin, the winner state wide, received 47-percent.  3rd Congressional Representative Ron Kind received 64-percent of the vote county wide to challenger Ray Boland’s 36-percent.  And 50th Assembly District, Democrat Sarah Ann Shanahan carried Juneau County with 50-percent of the vote, incumbent Republican Ed Brooks received 47-percent, and Libertarian candidate Ben Olson III received 3-percent.
