A former City of Adams couple has been referred to the Adams County District Attorney’s Office on drug charges.  Police said 24-year old Julie Carpenter and 33-year old James Hrnciar were leasing a house in the 300-block of S. Watts Street in the City of Adams.  The landlord told police the two had abandoned the residence.  A search revealed a single, small marijuana plant next to a potted tomato plant.  Apparently the couple was in Illinois and has no way back to Adams.  Police have referred charges of manufacturing T.H.C. to the D.A.’s Office.
