A Mauston man has been charged with possession of narcotic drugs without a valid prescription.  According to the deputy’s report, Saturday morning, September 7th, 2013, about 4am a deputy found 19-year old Robert Winders sleeping in his car parked at the Trout Pond on Meyer Road north of Mauston.  Winders told the deputy he had gotten into an argument with his mother and she kicked him out of the house so he went to the Trout Pond for the night.  The deputy could smell an unusual odor in the car and he asked Winders if he could search it.  Winders gave the deputy a plastic package with 5-small white pills identified as acetaminophen with codeine that belonged to a friend.  Winders is summoned to appear in court on October 23rd, 2013.
