Plea agreement reached in Adams case
A former Adams County Sheriff’s Deputy has reached a plea agreement with the prosecution. Attorney Jay Englund said, “We have reached a settlement”. 34-year old Richard Sedevic was scheduled for a jury trial at the end of the month but his defense attorney and Special Prosecutor in the case, Portage County Assistant Attorney David Knaapen, have reached a resolution although Englund would not elaborate. Sedevic was charged in Adams County last year with battery and disorderly conduct as a result of an incident with his girlfriend outside the residence they shared in the City of Adams in June 2012. A plea hearing has been scheduled for September 17th, 2013 in Adams County.
