Plea agreement in Adams case
A former Adams County deputy, 34-year old Richard Sedevic, scheduled to go to trial this week as a result of an incident with his girlfriend last summer, has reached a plea agreement. Special Prosecutor in the case, Columbia County Assistant District Attorney, David Knaapen said Monday morning, Sedevic would plea to a charge of disorderly conduct and the battery charge will be dismissed. After consulting with the victim, who is actually driving this case, the judgment will be deferred for one year. If Sedevic completes the year without any incidents, the misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge would be amended to a city ordinance violation and Sedevic would have to pay forfeiture.” Sedevic was charged in Adams County last year with battery and disorderly conduct as a result of an incident with his girlfriend outside the house they shared in the City of Adams in June 2012.
