No resolution between the Juneau County District Attorney’s Office and a Mauston man accused of 2nd degree sexual assault of a child, burglary, and theft.  24-year old Colton Whitaker was in court Thursday afternoon for a scheduled plea hearing on the cases.  But Assistant DA Cliff Burdon told the court there was no resolution at this time, so Judge John Roemer scheduled a preliminary hearing  for January 30th, 2014.  Whitaker is accused of allegedly breaking into a storage unit in the Town of Germantown late November 2012 and removing a flat screen TV from a Flagstaff Camper parked inside the storage unit.  Around the same time, Whitaker is accused of having sexual contact with a minor under 16-years old.  Whitaker faces similar sexual assault charges in Adams County.
