NL schools want public’s input on 20/20 Vision
20/20, a national dialogue on what do schools need to do to prepare our children for jobs, life, and the world at large. What should schools look like in the year 2020, when the current 5th graders graduate from high school? In the New Lisbon School District, School Superintendent Dennis Birr has asked the students, the staff, the school board, and now Birr is asking for the public’s input. Monday night at the school board meeting, Birr announced he is inviting the community to a meeting at the high school library next Thursday, February 21st, 2013 at 5:30pm to give their views on what programs New Lisbon schools should continue and what new technology or activities should be added to help prepare our students for the future.
