During the New Lisbon School Board meeting Monday evening, Superintendent Dennis Birr gave a presentation of student test scores.  Birr says, “WKCE Test results are similar to last year.  The district has hired a certified math teacher to teach junior high students and we also have a teacher certified in reading who’s going to give extra help to 6th grade students who are having problems reading.”  The Board also approved a short-term borrowing line-of-credit from BMO Bank for 1.4-million to help pay the bills until the school district receives the property tax money.  The Board also approved the 2014 Music Trip to New York City over Easter and a Music Field Trip to the Renaissance Festival in Shakopee.”
