NL School district sets mil rate
The New Lisbon School Board held its annual meeting Monday night. School Superintendent Dennis Birr said, ”The district voters adopted a tax levy of $3,761,454. The anticipated mil rate will be $10.95 per $1000 of value, an increase of 29-cents as a result of less state aid and an increase in the debt service payment. Birr said the Board accepted the resignation of two elementary teachers and hired three new teachers. Students start school in New Lisbon next Tuesday, September 3rd, 2013. During the school year, the Fitness Center will be open from 5am-7am in the morning and 5pm-7pm in the evening. The cost is $20 per month.”
