The Royall School Board met in Special Session Thursday night and approved a new ropes course and electrical upgrade.  “A pole behind the school will be removed and the wires will be moved underground to allow space for the new ropes course,” said School Superintendent Mark Gruen.  The cost for the ropes course is $42,000 funded by the PEP Grant.  The electrical upgrade will be done in two parts.  During the first phase, the pole will be moved underground at a cost of $15,000 and the second phase of the upgrade will cost $4,000.  In personnel issues, the Board approved hiring a half-time Chemistry teacher, Christopher Madden, and a full-time 6th grade teacher, Josh Potter, both are first-time teachers.  Following a Closed Session, the Board reported the termination of the middle school secretary, Anita Czajka.
