The New Lisbon School Board is already getting set for the next school year. Last night at the school board meeting, the board approved a plan for high school equivalency credits, meaning certain classes can be counted as towards credits. It was accepted that Ag Science classes would now be considered a science credit under the approval of the board. The board also approved a new math curriculum. It was approved as it was presented to the board. One example was, instead of offering Applied Math one and two, the school would offer two separate versions of Algebra and Geometry for students. Also, the board approved the addition of another advance placement class, AP Psychology. Principal Gary Syftestad said it students are looking for ways to get a jump-start on their college career and advance placement courses works towards that goal. All of these items will be in place at the start of the fall semester.
