The New Lisbon School District will honor a local business for its support.  Monday night the New Lisbon School Board will recognize the Grocery Depot at its monthly board meeting.  The Grocery Depot is a strong supporter with donating a percentage of all sales to the New Lisbon School District.  The donations have supported the purchase of a digital sign for the school entrance, slides for the elementary playground, and sponsored a student trip to the Dells as a reward for student accomplishments.  Unfortunately, in an Open Letter to the Citizens of New Lisbon, in the October 4th, 2012 Edition of The Messenger newspaper, owner of the Grocery Depot, Roger McGuire, asks the community to “put aside our differences and try to shop more locally, or it will be hard to stay open.”
