contributed….A little over 2 years ago, JCAIRS (Juneau County Agricultural, Industrial, and Recreational Society) tore down the old and unsafe bleachers.  Last month, in the midst of an icy storm the grandstand bleachers were set in place.  A portion of the cost was generated through fundraising including the charitable donation of the Donald Burnstad/Lucinda Bolton families of Festival Foods, Mauston. The remaining balance of over $120,000 was secured through the Bank of Wisconsin Dells with the generous assistance of John E Walsh, owner of Walsh Grain Farms and Walsh Bio-Fuels, Mauston and Dan and Lisa Walsh, owners of ASAP Repair & Recovery and Walsh Cargo, Lyndon Station.   CBS Constructors of Nebraska was awarded the bid and built a grandstand that will seat 1500 people and is handicap accessible.  JCAIRS and the Juneau County Fair Board hope to host many events at the new Grandstands, including the Dodge Rodeo and the Combine Demolition Derby during the Juneau County Fair.  A grand Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the new Grandstands is planned for June 1, 2013 during the Juneau County Dairy Breakfast at Veteran’s Memorial Park.  Tax deductible (501c3) donations continue to be accepted.  Please contact JCAIRS, 211 Hickory St. Mauston WI  53948 or call the JCAIRS Treasurer at 608-547-2901.
