Necedah man charged
A Necedah man has been charged with OWI-6th offense, a felony. According to the police report, last Tuesday afternoon the officer stopped a truck in the Village of Necedah for an expired license plate. A records check showed the driver, 53-year old Robert Bishop, was driving on a revoked license. As the officer handcuffed Bishop, he noticed a strong odor of intoxicants. Bishop refused to perform field sobriety tests but admitted drinking six beers at the Vets Hall within 40-minutes. Bishop was transported to the Mile Bluff Medical Center in Mauston for a blood draw and then transferred to the Juneau County Jail. During a court hearing last Wednesday, bail was set at a $500 cash bond and Bishop is to maintain absolute sobriety at all times.
