While making an illegal U-turn in the City of Mauston Tuesday, an Elroy woman struck a motorcycle.  Police said about 4pm 75-year old Jacqueline Schumann was exiting K-Mart’s northern driveway and attempted to make an illegal U-turn around the Highway 58 median divider.  Schumann failed to see a motorcycle traveling north on Highway 58 and struck it.  The 2005 Honda motorcycle was severely damaged.  The operator, 69-year old Merlin Johnson of West Salem, was ejected.  He was medically transported with moderate injuries.  Schumannn and a passenger were uninjured.  She was cited for ‘unlawful U-turn’ and fined $88.80.
