A Mauston man has been cited as a result of a two-vehicle accident last week.  Police said 48-year old Richard Porter was traveling east on Highway 82 in the City of Mauston.  As he made a left turn onto Lincoln Street, Porter struck a west bound 2012 Chevy Silverado truck being operated by 58-year old Kevin Riley of Mauston.  No one was injured.  But Porter backed up his 1994 Chevy pickup and continued east on Highway 82.  The damaged pickup was located at his residence and photographed.  The officer made several attempts to contact Porter but was unsuccessful.  Porter was mailed citations for ‘vehicle owner’s liability for failure to stop after accident’, for ‘failure to yield right-of-way’, for ‘operating motor vehicle without insurance’, and for ‘operating without a valid license’.  His fines totaled $917.80.
